About Esploro · one lens, every market
We are building the research house for value migration.
Esploro exists to own one idea and to earn it: that profit steadily migrates up the value chain — out of commodities, into pricing power — and that the market re-rates a company for that climb years too late. We are being built to find that gap early, in any market, and to prove every read from the primary source.
Impersonal, general-circulation research on an investing framework. No personalized advice. No return claims. Not a registered adviser in any jurisdiction. See our full disclosures.
The mission: own the “value migration” category
Value migration is a named idea — Adrian Slywotzky, 1996 — and it has never had a research house built around it. That is the flag we intend to plant. Esploro is being built to be the place a serious investor goes to understand where profit is moving to in public equities: which business designs are quietly gaining pricing power, and which are being competed into a commodity. We want the phrase “value migration” to lead people here.
We don’t summarize a company. We rank the market.
The distinction is the whole point. A summary tells you what a company is today; anyone can pull that from a screener, and everyone has the same numbers. Our work is different in kind: we rank the market by where profit is migrating up the value chain — the shift from bulk to specialty, from part to system, from input to brand — and we trace each call to the exact filing sentence where the evidence actually lives, and we date it. A claim you can’t open yourself isn’t research. That method does not belong to a country. It belongs to any market with listed companies and public filings.
One lens, every market
Value migration is a pattern, not a place.
The engine needs only two things to find the signature of a business climbing the value chain: a universe of listed companies, and their filings. Give it a new market and it works the same way. Coverage is built one market at a time.

Where the framework was built and pressure-tested. Registered research for Indian investors follows SEBI Research Analyst registration.

Singapore
Licenses research issuance itself — served only when licensed/structured.
The proving ground
Why the United States first.
Starting in the US is a deliberate choice, and an honest one. Four reasons:
- The lens is universal. Value migration is a pattern of how profit moves, not a feature of one economy. If the method is real, it travels — and the fastest way to prove it travels is to run it where the framework was not born.
- We can start a public track record now. In the United States, impersonal, general-circulation research — the same for every reader, tailored to no one — has long been publishable without an investment-adviser license. This is the settled “publisher’s exclusion” the US Supreme Court drew in Lowe v. SEC (1985); in 2024 a federal court applied it to exactly this kind of quant-ranked stock research. That is the model we intend to operate under — it lets us publish openly and build a timestamped record from day one rather than wait on a registration. It is how we read the law, not a guarantee or legal advice — see our regulatory posture.
- The primary data is open and structured. SEC filings are free, machine-readable and standardized (EDGAR). The evidence bridge — every call traced to a filing sentence — is, if anything, easier to build there than anywhere else.
- It is the world’s reference market. A track record proven against US equities is credible and portable everywhere. Earn trust in the deepest, most-scrutinized market, and it carries to the next one.
We are keeping this factual and modest. The US is where we prove the method in the open — not where the story ends.
The origin
India — where the framework was built.
The value-migration framework was built and pressure-tested in India — sharpened against the hard cases, where a commodity company at a cyclical top can masquerade as a real migrator, and the job of the method is to tell the two apart before the market does. That is the discipline the whole engine inherits.
Registered research for Indian investors follows SEBI Research Analyst registration. Until that lands, our India content stays on the safe side of the line: methodology and education, not company-specific calls. When the registration is granted, the language on these pages changes to match, and a proper Investor Charter, registration number and grievance channels go up.
The vision: slow, but dominate — across markets
This is a 5–10 year build, and the patience is the strategy, not an apology for it. In a market that has just lived through a reckoning over finfluencers and unregistered tip-selling, the scarce asset is trust — and trust does not scale on hype. It compounds. A verified, timestamped, multi-market record of good judgment, published in the open over years, is a moat that a louder competitor cannot buy or fake. We would rather be right slowly and be believed than be loud quickly and be dismissed. The restraint is the brand.
The arc is deliberate: serve retail first, then HNI, then B2B — and eventually run capital — one market at a time, each step earned by the record of the one before it. Brand, authority and a verified track record are the compounding asset. Everything else follows from them.
Where we stand today
What Esploro is — and what it is not.
Esploro is
A long-horizon, evidence-first, impersonal research brand applying the value-migration lens across markets — spotting companies moving up the value chain, out of commodities, before the market re-rates them. We build in the open and publish the framework as authority content.
Esploro is not (today)
A tip service, a personalized adviser, a portfolio manager, or a SEBI-registered research analyst. We hold no license in any jurisdiction today. Our India company-specific research follows SEBI Research Analyst registration. No calls, no personalized advice, no return claims.
The founder
Dipankar Sarkar — Founder & Lead Analyst
Builder and researcher. Esploro publishes impersonal, general-circulation research and education, and is preparing SEBI Research Analyst (INH) registration for its India coverage.
Esploro is founded and led by Dipankar Sarkar. The research engine behind the brand — the way primary-source filings, transcripts and disclosures are read and structured into a traceable read on where value is migrating — is his work. The face of a trust-category brand should be named, credentialed, and accountable, so it is. Neither the SEBI registration nor its NISM certification is granted or passed yet, and this site will say so plainly until it is.
